Pop Mart in-store releases
Nothing much to report this week, but Blind Box Jude has done a great roundup. I think the Game of Thrones Space Molly has missed the mark, judging by the comments.
The bigger news this week is the opening of the new Cardiff store, and a new, improved Berlin store. I cannot wait to go back to Berlin.
8-hour Hirono live on Sunday

Pop Mart posted on Instagram that the Brick Lane live streams kick off on 21 June from the Hirono store in London. The 8-hour live starts at 2pm.
It’s been open for a couple of weeks now, but the streams haven’t been regular. The one on the 21st seems worth a look because they’ve promised some new items.
The existing live has tried mixing it up with auctions and discounts, but when things are selling for more than the regular price at auction, it’s very difficult to be excited about it. Why do we need another?
My best guess is that the new lives are being run with a closer partnership with TikTok. They have British hosts, and what sounds like a member of staff in the background to guide them. One of them mentioned having another live to host, so we know they work for different brands on TikTok.
I’ve also noticed a significant uptick in TikTok affiliate activity on both stores.
Viewers on the Brick Lane live dropped below 40 yesterday, but I’m sure Sunday will be busier. Although it can be frustrating when a host doesn’t know the products well, at least not as well as a collector, I think the energy in the Brick Lane lives has been really good.
New in Miniso

Miniso is dropping so much new stuff at the moment. Every time I go in, I tell myself I’m “just checking”, and then I discover a bunch of new blind boxes. I also can’t believe how frequently everything gets moved around.
I popped in last week and filmed a ton of new blind boxes, and yesterday I saw even more. The Hello Kitty Pizza Shop Party got me. It’s a food theme.
New Baby Threes coming

We have a new Baby Three Scary Clown Series (full name Scary Clown V1 Full Body). This looks like a return to the more basic style of bunnies in the series, one grey, one black and red, so those will be my targets if I pick one up.
There’s also the Petit Sea Animals Head series, which I think I prefer. Hard to pick a favourite.
Loads of newness from Surefun
Unboxing Cuteness has collabed with Surefun, and the new Nommi beans, I have to say I wasn’t convinced about them until she posted the close-up pictures.
And I need the leopard cat MayMei.
Lauren has also collected all of the most reliable Nommi, MayMei and Piropiroo links on AliExpress to save you from buying from a dodgy seller.
And finally

Leeds gets Fugglers before anywhere else, and I still don’t know why. Yesterday I spotted the brand new Fugglercorn series for the first time. Video coming up this weekend on my TikTok and Instagram.

Kodak is releasing a new Charmera blind box camera with some extra features. I’ll definitely be looking for the green one from the new series.
And the band Korn is launching its own blind box series. These look really cool.
