Pop Mart Soho and Birmingham Bullring to Close on August 29

Pop Mart is closing its Soho and Birmingham Bullring stores on Saturday, August 29th.

Here are full details of the new stores that will replace them.

Pop Mart Soho Replaced by Charing Cross

Pop Mart Soho on Shaftesbury Avenue is indirectly replaced by Pop Mart Charing Cross.

The Charing Cross store is the largest Pop Mart store in the UK, so it makes sense that Pop Mart has prioritized it for new drops. Soho, on the other hand, was often left out of drops, and was too small to accommodate the same breadth of products.

Pop Mart Birmingham Bullring Replaced by New Street (Soon)

The Birmingham Bullring store closed on the same day as Soho: 29th August 2026. It was always intended to be a pop-up, so the expansion makes sense.

Mrs P was the first person to post the news, as far as I’m aware. (If I’m wrong, please let me know, and I will add your video here as well!)

Pop Mart has announced a new Pop Mart store on New Street in Birmingham, but has yet to reveal the opening date.

The Soho and Birmingham Bullring stores had a slightly dated look, which probably signalled the impending moves. New stores are also planned for Glasgow, Brighton, Sheffield Meadowhall, and the Metro Centre in Newcastle.

Here’s the work-in-progress list of UK blind box stores.
