POP MART has teased a new LABUBU pixel pet in an 8-bit video game style, which looks like a mini gaming device. Collectors are already calling it the Labubu Tamagotchi or v-pet.

- It’s coming: POP MART’s own Instagram asked “What are THE MONSTERS up to?” over a pixel-art Coming Soon screen with THE MONSTERS logo.
- A second teaser: on 15 October, POP MART posted the pixel LABUBU in full, winking beside a star, with the words “THE MONSTERS are serving up something new”.
- A video from the official LABUBU account: on 15 October, it posted a video asking “Would you like to join THE MONSTERS CAFE?”, which fits the pixel snacks.
- POP MART US joins in: also on 15 October, POP MART US posted its own video with “Wait, what? Comment below what you think is coming!”
- The style: 8-bit pixel art, like an old video game, with pixel snacks such as bubble tea.
- The name: THE MONSTERS Shake A Drink Gaming Handheld, from POP MART US’s new releases post on 16 October. Its photo shows two handhelds shaped like pixel LABUBU heads, one pink and one gold, each with a small screen and coloured buttons.
Is the Labubu Tamagotchi a Real Device With a Screen?
Yes, although it looks more like a gaming device than a tamagotchi. It hangs from a keyring clip.

Does the Labubu Tamagotchi Have a Camera?
Yes. POP MART has confirmed you can take photos on the device by pressing the top of one of the ears. You can also snap screenshots by pressing two buttons at the same time.

Yes, the pink version is the secret. According to POP MART US, the colours are officially named Nut and Peach, sticking with the food theme.
The odds are 1/6, so it won’t be super hard to find, although that won’t stop resellers charging a high price for the pink version.
When Will the Labubu Tamagotchi Be Released?
POP MART US says it arrives on 23 October 2026 globally, which means the US is going to get it this Friday. There is no UK date or price yet. New LABUBU drops usually land on the POP MART UK website, the POP MART app, TikTok Shop and in UK stores.
